Brett’s is awesome
Agreed. Would start there.
Ate at Roegels last week and their brisket had the best flavor I've eaten in brisket. IDK what he's doing but it's working.

The usuals have been mentioned so I will suggest Harlem Road BBQ in Richmond.

The scuttlebutt around town is that the owner sold out for TV appearances.

Bretts is really good and I have heard good things about Daddy Duncan's BBQ but have never tried it.

Same here. I always stop at Rudy's in Katy when I'm back in US and visiting my Oil & Gas friends for a round of golf at Meadowbrook in Katy. Some of the others mentioned here are great but Rudy's is on the feeder before I have to get on I-10 to head back to Lafayette.

Brett's. By far! Recognized as one of the top in the state of Texas. The brisket is amazing, but the beef rib is off the charts!

Rudy's is an easy stop on I-10 and the sides are better but Brett's actual BBQ is better. Though we aren't talking a huge difference so......

Either the Rudy’s in Sugar Land/Richmond is just bland as hell, or I’m going to have to completely disagree that there isn’t a big difference between the BBQ at Rudy’s vs a place like Brett’s or Roegel’s.

Never been to the one in Sugarland....only the Katy location. I know its heresy since I live in Texas but I'm probably not the BBQ snob that a lot of Texans are.

I whole Roegel’s brisket has left something to be desired the two times I’ve had it (mostly wasn’t as tender as others I’ve tried), their pork ribs are the best I’ve ever eaten.
Heavenly.
Heavenly.
