Right off of 281, on Highway 71 -- there is the town of Spicewood Texas. Theres a nice littlwe place called Opie’s Barbecue at 9504 E. Texas Hwy. 71, #830-693-8660. They have a strange version of brisket, and pretty decent sides and some good cookies.

We were at Lakeway and didn't feel like fighting the aholes on 35.
