Anybody else allergic to certain beer hops?

So I've never been allergic to anything, even poison ivy/oak
But
I've been breaking out like crazy after plowing through Ghoast, Envie, and the new Opus.
After doing minimum research; I think I'm allergic to Cascade hops? I think that's the common denomater.....
Not really sure what's going on?
Anybody?

I work at a brewpub, and we kind of specialize in hoppy beers. I love hops so this is right up my alley, but I noticed a few months back that there are certain beers that would cause me to sneeze about 3/4 of the way through. I decided I was allergic to certain hops and a few of the brewers confirmed that it is absolutely a possibility.
I have started keeping a record of which beers make me sneeze and swell because it's not all of them so I should be able to narrow it down to a certain type of hops.
In short, same thing happens to me and I have it on good authority that hops can cause a reaction.

Is this some kind of elaborate way to say they are the same beer?

It started with me sneezing
Now I just get congested and blow my noise a lot after drinking......
I'm trying to see what beers cause me to sneeze.

I do the same and I drink a lot of Envie. Red Wine has started this with me in the last three years as well. I'll have a 10 hard sneeze fit and it's a pain in the arse.

Yes. Discussed briefly on this board - Coater can add insight, ashe has knowledge of such that could help you...
Really tho, your options are:
1) drink thru it till u build immunity
2) load up on antihistimines until it levels out
3) get allergy tested for such for more immediate results (3-6months), develop said treatment regimine (shots, drops, etc) until you get right..getting you back to what 1) would have done over time
All arrive at same end result, depends on your tolerance and desired timeframe.
Good luck. If you need direction in who to see... I may/may not have some insight on who I would send my family to in your area....

I'd go with Option 1 as the best answer to this and most other life problems.

Maybe I've been building up some immunity. I used to often have allergic reactions to some beers, but I never kept track what beers to narrow the hops. I'd mostly get a scratchy throat and then sneeze/runny nose. Last year has been better though.

I thought they used mosaic hops.

I sometimes have a reaction to alcohol. Pretty much can't drink liquor anymore. I get splotches on my arms, neck, & face.
I have to start out slow with beer, but after 2-3 I'm good. Sucks, but if I start sneezing or coughing, I may take some allergy meds and power through.
Wife thinks it's karma.

If I drink more than 4-5 beers, I break out, too. I can pop a benadryl, but then that knocks me out. I can feel it coming on when my nose gets stopped up, and then soon after I turn red.

I'm not sure, I was hoping to find out.
I've been drinking for 20 plus years. But I've only been drinking ipas and other hoppy beers for a couple of years.

Those beers give me loose stool, but not every time. I've document when it happens in my journal. Old Envie never gave me a problem, but new Envie does most of the time especially the last two batches. Opus 1 loose bowels, Opus 2 no issues. GiTM 2-4 runs, 7, 9,11 runs, but the last batch did the opposite. The new batch makes me constipated.
So hop allergies unlike peanut and gluten allergies are real.
