Anyone have the Char-Broil The Big Easy Smoker Roaster & Grill?

Not the normal Big Easy Infrared (oiless) Fryer. This one has a grill top and an internal smoker box. Was planning on buying an oiless fryer for the holiday season and found it on Amazon for only $30 more than the Big Easy. Anyone actually try to smoke with it?

I have this exact grill and I love it to bbq on. To smoke on it, not so much. I find it keeps the temp too high to be a good smoker. I do like to load up the compartment on the side with wood chips. Start it on high for about 10 mins until smoking and cook on low.
Not a bad grill for 180ish range. If you are looking for a true smoker I'd lookeep elsewhere.

It's OK. I got a super deal I couldn't pass up for $100.
It's a good infrared grill but not a good smoker. Like you said, too hot.

Good grill and to use as a roaster. Really liked the turkey I did in it. Not the best use as a smoker.
