Anyone here been yet? This is their second weekend.
I’m going tonight for dinner. I stopped in there last night for a drink and appetizer. If the rest of the food is half as good as the app I had, the food will be amazing. It’s a small place, only twelve tables. It has a massive wine list and very nice bourbon list.
This is the app I had last night, shrimp ceviche guacamole with plantain chips.
Here is the menu, but I believe it changed a little before it opened

Ok, here’s my assessment:
Best restaurant in AP (and it’s not even close) and it could give the top restaurants in BR a run for their money.
The food is fricking amazing.

Went last week. Was a bit slow with only 2 bartenders while the entire management team was there.
However, the drinks they served were fine and appetizers were on point.
My biggest issues was they had an entire wine list but could not produce a liquor list.

I do agree, they need a service bartender.
As far as the liquor list, isn’t it with the wine list?

No, wine list is separated by
By glass
By bottle
By region
Then it becomes cocktails
Nothing about liquor as even some cocktails have a 0 price as it depends on the liquor you want in

So it’s that much better than Latil’s Landing at Houma’s House? If so, then it’s definitely better than any restaurant in BR.

Seems to be a problem with many restaurants.

Which restaurant is Latil’s, the one with the Turtle bar, or the one in the main house?
I’ve never eaten at the one in the main house, but it’s much, much better than the one with the turtle bar. I ate there just a couple months ago.

Looks like a great menu. I love a good beet salad.

But are any movers and shakers there? That’s the most important question.

A lot of truffle on that menu
You should ask where they are cultivating and harvesting them from.

Why is it called the library?

The official name is “The Library Wine & Provisions”.
I asked him if he knew there was a famous bar at LSU called The Library for years. He said he didn’t know (he’s originally from California).
Does anyone remember when The Library was a Jeopardy question back in the 80’s or 90’s?

You must not be a mover or shaker.

Went again tonight and essentially did their appetizer menu. The charcuterie boards are being removed from the menu. However, I was about to try the spinach and artichoke Flatbread, wagyu Flatbread, house bread, truffle fries, wagyu beef meatballs, and bluefin tuna tart. Honestly everything was excellent, I was surprised how much I liked it. The meatballs were a little salty but that was my only complaint from the evening.
The $40 for pappy 12 was an amazing price compared to most places around town and you get 1.5oz for that price where most are 1oz.
I'll be going back to actually eat soon and hopefully the entree menu is as good as the appetizer menu.

I'm going to guess they don't bother to do a liquor list because in todays world of "bourbon", they may not know which one they can get. Just a guess.
