We will be taking my Father in Law for a VA related Doctors appointment in Marrero for 1pm, so late lunch 3pm or early dinner is fine.

Coming from the Northshore.

We can go via Huey P or CCC if it means a better experience...may be willing to stop off in Metairie if nothing from the West bank sounds good.

Thanks

Thai D’jing would be my choice but it closes between 2 & 5pm...same with Cafe Hope at Timberlane CC, their burger is outstanding.

Gattuso’s & Gretna Depot will be starting HH around 4pm in Gretna if time is a concern...Rivershack too for that matter.

Olive Branch Cafe is also a good choice that stays open all afternoon...there’s a Marrero location near Barataria & Lapalco

LA23 BBQ is pretty good if you feel like driving a few extra minutes

Red Maple was absolute garbage last time I ate there but that was 3-4 years ago

Edit: No sure how late LA23 BBQ stays open

If you like Muffalatos DiMartinos has a damn good one. They have a couple places on the W'ank.

Also, you should definitely get some cracklings from Danny and Bonnie Seafood.

If you want something off the wall, Hong Minh has some good authentic style Chinese.

Segnette Landing at the back of the Shrimp Lot off of the expressway in Westwego is a hidden gem. Food is great and if you sit out on the back deck you have a great view of all of the boats coming in and out of Bayou Segnette.

What, no mention of Mosca's on Hwy. 90???

Great food, but bring cash. Last time I was there they were cash only.

Just checked their website and their hours may not be good for you though, with them opening at 5 and only open Wed-Sat.

You'll be in Marrero, so Daiwa is an excellent choice - easy peeze...

Would loved to have done Moscas, but they aren't going to be open in time.

Looks like we will do New Orleans Food and Spirits since it is very close to West Jeff Med center where we are.

Eastbound CCC looked miserable when crossing over to the wank, so we will probably head back to the Northshore via Huey P and take the causeway home, so gretna/Belle Chase choices were scrapped as well.

Any dishes recommended at N.O. F&S?

Thanks

NOLA F&S was really good.

The three of us each got something different.

I got the Blackened tuna(rare) over Crawfish Pontchartrain pasta

Wife(no pics)got the crab stuffed grilled catfish over Lafayette shrimp pasta

paw n law got the pecan catfish with boiled garlic butter new potatoes.

Wait was a bit long and the crowd was "diverse", but the meal made up for it.

Never realized that they have a Covington location, so if we are ever in that area we may try that location.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.
