I like to just add a sharp, white cheddar to grits made with water and some cream.

I like smoked gouda and regular cheddar in my cheese grits. I have a buddy that puts gorgonzola in his. I think it's a bit overkill but they taste pretty damn good.

I always made my grits like the box says. Just started rolling with creamy grits.

Today I put some pepper jack in my grits.

Can't move now.

1/4 cup butter
2-3 Jalapeños seeded and minced
2 garlic cloves minced
2 cups of milk
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup quick grits
2 cups grated sharp cheddar
2 cups water

In a medium saucepan over med heat melt the butter. Add the jalapeños and garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Add water, milk, salt and pepper and bring to simmer. Add the grits and mix well. Return to simmer and cook about 5-7 minutes. Add cheese and mix well. Continue cooking until you get the consistency you want. Serve immediately...

Everyday, good stone ground grits and extra sharp cheddar. Normally Cracker Barrel.

Sometimes, good stone ground grits, and smoked gouda.

Sometimes, I will use cream, but good stone ground grits is creamy if you cook them right anyway. Stir, stir, stir.
