Best low carb beer

This is a thread about the best low carb beer available in your local supermarket. Yes, light beer is fake and gay. I've been doing a keto diet since January and you quickly learn that your beer options are extremely limited if you want to stay under 20g carbs per day. I would normally never drink any of these terrible beers outside of tailgate beer pong.
I have re-tried all the classic light beers from college. Coors, keystone, natty, bud light, Miller light, etc. These all suck and most are actually too high in carbs to have more than 2 cans.
I have tried the low carb market leaders michelob ultra and michelob ultra pure gold. These are not good and have that green apple acetaldehyde taste. The pure gold is simply atrocious and regular ultra is much better than the new iteration.
I have tried the low carb options many brewers are putting out now. Goose island so-lo, bells light hearted ale, new Belgium purist lager, Abita light, etc. These are usually good enough to stave off a beer craving, but they aren't good.
(As an aside, Abita Hop 99 is actually pretty good if you get it fresh, pour it in a glass, and pretend it is a very hoppy pilsner. But results vary with shelf age and it cannot be mistaken for a good ipa).
Enter St. Archer Gold. At 2.6 carbs, this is hands down the best low carb beer commonly available. In a blind taste test, I rated it as good or better than several normal carb Mexican lagers like Carta Blanca and Pacifico. It is the most expensive light beer on the shelf, but deservedly so as it lacks that acetaldehyde champagne-like smell common of ultra light beers and tastes much more like a full on beach vacation lager.
If you are looking for a low carb beer like me (haha gay!), then do yourself a favor and try this one. I find all of these are much better if you pour into a glass to avoid tasting the aluminum can.

I have had Sam Adams light and agree that it is good (relatively speaking). But it has 8g carbs per 12oz. That means only 2 per day if you are extremely carb restricted. The taste of St. Archer Gold at 2.6g of carbs blows Sam Adams away IMHO.

Honest answer is when I did keto I started drinking bourbon and would have 1 splurge day every couple of weeks on beer.

I've taken a liking to Shiner Light Blonde. 99 calories, 3.8g of carbs. It may not be available in your area, though.

Yeah, I have always been a bourbon drinker and that remains my #1 go to. Have even found ways to make passable sugar free simple syrups for bourbon and rye cocktails.
But sometimes, only a giant mug of beer will do.

Agree that this has its place. But it doesn't taste like beer (much like some of the ultra light options I mentioned in the OP).
SAG actually tastes like a real beer.

Thanks for the research.
Will have to give it a try. Is it available in most grocery stores?

Why not just drink actual good beer less often?

White Claw? Do you put your bra or panties on first? The OP said beer.

Oh, you mean the drink with actual phytoestrogens in it?
I got news for you brother, between beer and White Claw, only one of them will give you man boobs, and it ain't the one made of vodka and water. But enjoy your manly drink.

Quit with the gay fad diets. Establish a healthy year round diet, along with regular exercise, and drink all the double IPAs that you want
