I've only had them from Sucre and they're very good.

I think you mean macarons, not macaroons.

Just to throw out another option, Haydels makes a very good one.

The ones at Sucre are pretty good as are the ones at Maurice's French Bakery but they are not close to being in the same league with the ones you get in Paris. The ones from Pierre Hermme, Laduree and Angelina in Paris are much better. If I could get those macarons here I would weigh 300 lbs.

I did not think about Maurices...that's a good one.

La Rivière Confiserie

Not necessarily better, but on par with what I have had in NOLA

Probably but macaroons suck.

Hopefully this is a gift.

Wrong... the macarons from Sucre are a panty-dropper. Unexpectedly (and pleasantly) found that out last fall.

Green?

I assume you mean pistachio?

If you’re going to be high brow enough to go hunting for macarons, you probably shouldn’t be asking them for “the green ones”

They are a gift; however, I have had excellent ones in France, Germany, London and Basque Country.

I hope all is well with you. One day you need to brave the streets of Nola to have a drink together.

You might hit a pothole (or 10) or get shot (twice), but a TD IRL is worth it.
