What's the best "New" restaurant (opened in the last 2-3 years) in Baton Rouge that is still open?

And BTR isnt a culinary hot spot. Ranks uo there with Alexandria and Lake Charles.

The best new restaurant that I've seen mentioned on here is The Patio (former Velvet Cactus location).

You sir are an idiot. BR is light years ahead of Elick when it comes to restaurants.

I would add:
Pizza Art Wine
Spoke & Hub
The Patio
Brasus Peru
Now, if I was picking "the best", I would probably go with Pizza Art Wine, but they all fill different niches and are worth note.

Rocca is still my favorite pizza in town by far, but they make a solid pizza. The rest of the menu is what people shouldn’t sleep on, though.

The only redeeming thing about Ellick was they had a Eddie's BBQ or maybe it was Outlaws BBQ in an old Luthers. I also had a pretty good steak at some restaurant on or near England AFB and a decent meal at a restaurant downtown near some swanky hotel.

That is what my mother would call; "damning with faint praise!"

Any restaurant that serves breakfast all day warrants mention as a niche option.

I've been there a few times and it's been solid every time

I have also, and always enjoyed. Last time we went, the service was sub-par, and their were several food substitutions on the order.
"We're out of X, but we can give you Y instead." on three out of our group of eight diners.
From the hen house (wives), I got the "Next time we go out to eat, don't let (me) pick the restaurant."

I have 2 back to back terrible experiences there. Horrible service and the food was way overpriced for what was served.
