Is Bergeron's in Port Allen still good? That's the only place I used to go

I get their stuffed pork chops and Italian and pepperjack sausage occasionally. They have a pretty decent selection.

They've got most things they offer on their website.

Cross the river and go to Riverside in Plaquemine. Get the non smoked jalapeno cane syrup sausage.

Tramonte's used to have ribeye rollups. Haven't been there in awhile but those were awesome. Plus, get food while there. Again they used to have a free keg on tap, don't know about now.

Yes, as is Hebert's in Addis. Both my go to on the way to the camp.
There is one next to Cabelas as well. I think its a Bergeron's satellite store. Their cornbread stuffed chickens are the GOAT.

Not sure if you’re looking for butcher shops or Cajun specialty stores. If the latter, Hebert’s on Jefferson Is good.

While Bergeron's boudin and hogs head cheese aren't worth writing home about, most everything else there is exceptional.

Ronnie's has solid boudin, but little else worth a trip.

Jerry Lee's has excellent hogs head cheese, but their boudin is...different. It's not bad, just has a very different flavor profile from most places.

Chris's and Tremonte's both have excellent meats, but not so great boudin or similar offerings.

Hebert's (not the one in LP) has decent everything, but doesn't excel at anything.

Capital City Crawfish used to have really great frozen products from Poche's in Breaux Bridge, but I haven't been in there recently.

Bellue's boudin and head cheese are straight up not good, but their turducken and plate lunches are incredible.

Tony's meats turf isn't great, but their surf is the best selection in the city.

Belleu's on scenic hwy or Bergerons on hwy 415 in port allen. These 2 are head and shoulders above the rest.

chicken cracklins are top notch but yes their sausage is nothing to do flips over. Their stuffed chickens comes from Chris's and Chris's sells Ronnies boudin.

YES great head cheese and the boudin is excellent. Diffrent doesn't equal bad by a longshot.

Excellent is a stretch

This one is your biggest fail. The Glace from Bellues is good stuff and their meats and sides are high level.
