What is the best store bought ranch that can mimic these places? I can't find a ranch i can eat like those. Dip the entire wing in there. I dont like hidden valley and just tried kraft and just threw out the whole bottle.

This shite, and the regular version, is thick and good as a mfer (on wings, I don't eat ranch on anything else).

All restaurants that I worked in we made our own ranch. With the ranch seasoning packets, mayo, buttermilk.

Yea, but y'all had commercial Sysco mayo. That shite is way better than store bought mayo.

Try Cousin's Creole Tomato Dressing. Better than any Ranch dressing. Great on wings.
Or, make your own. Try this one from Pioneer Woman or look up Ina Garten's version.

I think there may have been a recent thread on Ranch dressing with some recipes.

I didn't say I was a world class chef at a nice restaurant... Just a few places around BR.
ETA and I'm pretty sure BWW uses that same ranch.

Here's what I was remembering. Big Chipper posted the recipe below.
Chuy's Jalapeno Ranch
1 cup real mayonnaise
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup sour cream
1-4 oz. can chopped jalapeños (cut this in half if you don't like spicy)
1-4 oz. can chopped green chiles
1/3 cup chopped cilantro
1-1 oz. packet of dry ranch dressing mix
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
Blend up and let it sit in fridge a few hours before serving.

No seriously, a local place 'makes their own dressings'. Sysco commercial mayo is the only thing in them you can't buy so they 'are amazing'. These aren't chefs preparing this stuff.

And chances are you will get that Kens.
My dressing story, most here have heard it, wife gets the Ceasar salad at Maxwells, likes the dressing asks me to go to the counter and see if they will sell it. Sure, how much do you want? A pint. Prints a label, slaps it on a clear pint container, grabs a ladle and proceeds to dip it out of a five gallon bucket of Kens Ceasar Salad Dressing. Puts lid on and hands me my $10.99 Maxwells Ceasar Salad Dressing. I bought it since I went that far and next day found it at Wal Mart for like 2 bucks.
Yes I've even been known to venture into Wal Mart on occasion.

Kens is the best, then the Hidden Valley Ranch packets or bottles.
I will make my own a lot, with some homemade mayo, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, black pepper, lemon juice and a white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to thin. I don't measure, I just add till it tastes right to me.

Just buy some quality blue cheese dressing and be done with it.
Posted on 8/25/14 at 11:00 pm to Bill Parker?
If you want blue cheese, buy Cousin's Blue Cheese. The stuff is delicious.

I've only worked at 3 restaurants but at none of those three did we use bottled ranch and never in my life has even a ranch packet homemade tasted like bottled..
You want ranch like Sammy's/Pluckers (the best two)? At the very least make it with buttermilk from a packet.

Agreed, I posted the ad hoc ranch recipe the other day. Best homemade ranch recipe out there imo especially if you add a hidden valley packet to it, gotta have the MSG imo

there's a reason this shite lives on NON-REFRIGERATED shelves. because..its shite.
do you like drinking artery-clogging fake hydrogenated oils??

the reason it takes good in restaurants is they make it with real buttermilk or mayo and fresh seasonings so its "real" ranch.
you really expect that shite that has been sitting on store shelves for a year to taste like real ranch?

Cousin's lives on refrigerated shelves. That's why it's so good.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm guessing best thing is to buy from wingstop or bww. I'll also look for refrigerated Ranch in the stores now!
