Best wood to use to smoke some bison burgers?

Eaten quite a bit of bison over the years, mostly ribeyes, prime rib, and burgers. It’s always been grilled, roasted, or cooked on cast iron/ flat top. Don’t recall having it smoked.
Got some 90/10 ground bison in a gift box for Christmas. Would like to maje smoked burgers on the Jumbo Joe. Suggestions for type of wood? It will obviously be a quick smoke.

I'd do pecan or mesquite.

Wouldn’t hot and fast be better being it’s so lean?

Since it’s so close to beef, oak or hickory. But really don’t think you can go wrong with any wood.

You want harder woods for smoking bison/beef/pork, so mesquite and hickory are usually the go to.

Mesquite if you can get it. That's my preference, at least. Otherwise oak. I don't like pecan much.

Cherry is the answer here. It sounds weird, but cherry is my go-to for beef or game.
