I’m curious how Blaze compares to Lit. Any feedback is appreciated.

Blaze’s dough is made in house. Lit is frozen dough.
I like Lit’s pizza special of the month on most months and their offering of toppings.
I like Blaze’s half pizza combo with either a salad or homemade bread sticks, neither of which Lit offers.
Taste wise is negligible. I have found the staff at Blaze to always be nice and personable.
Lit is based on Blaze’s concept but beat Blaze to the local market first.
Side note, Hive Pizza sucks arse.

Only thing I've noticed different is Blaze has chopped Brussels sprouts and those are incredible on pizza. Lit is by our home so we've gone there a couple times.
I got bored and asked the employee if he ever gets anyone who orders a pizza with every single topping and he said people do. It's not even pizza anymore.

I believe I've had all the Baton Rouge create your own pizza places (LIT, Blaze, Jabbys, Hive). LIT and Blaze are easily the top two, and I'd give the edge to LIT. Jabby's comes third, and I believe it's just pretty average. And I give Hive last because it just doesn't compare to others, a frozen pizza would be better.
I was surprised with Blaze's quality as it is a national chain.

for the price, I think Lit is pretty good. Haven't tried Blaze yet.
My favorite at Lit is the buffalo chicken pizza.

Tell them you want the pizza cooked well done, and the crust will come out crisper.
I like LIT, but it's also much more convenient to me at both home and work. I'm not driving down Siegen to go to Blaze.

Have not had Blaze or Hive
Lit is still my favorite but the quality really depends on the location. Some locations are better than others.
Jabbys is ok but the one thing I do like is their desert pizzas. The Nutella one is to die for.

Yeah, there's an extra crispy button.
I have to get pretty much all pizzas extra crispy lately. I feel like nobody cooks them as much as I like.
I've only had Blaze out of state, but remember liking it fine. Comparing the two, though, Lit offers more items I lean towards than Blaze so I'd probably still give them the slight edge.

Guest time I went to Blaze my pizza had a perfect char to it. The guy said "oh I burnt it" gave it to me and made another one. The charred pizza was still my favorite one. I almost feel like asking them to burn my pizza slightly.
I like the spicy red with pesto or alfredo. I go heavy on toppings usually a lot of the veggie toppings because they have so many. The Freret st location is a once amonth lunch.

Hive no longer exists in the Baton Rouge area.

Hive was a Rotolo's concept I believe. Not surprised they didn't survive.

Unless they have changed in the past year, Lit Pizza dough is made in house. The gluten free and cauliflower is frozen.
Lit basically took the concept idea from Blaze but made it better as far as ingredients, but it all depends on how well the cook is at the oven.

Right now Lit has a great POM (pizza of the month). Technically, it’s not a pizza but it’s a 4 cheese calzone served with a cup of tomato basil soup from Building 5. Delicious combo. I would definitely add in some protein because it bulks it up and costs nothing extra. That soup is really good.

some of those calzones say they use white sauce. anyone know what that means?
