Bon Ton Prime Rib Review

The Mrs and I had a kid-free parent date night last night. We’ve been having this place on our list to try. Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The wife had filet mignon and I went with the Cajun ribeye. The cuts of meat had barely any fat, yet still were tender, juicy, and delicious. The char and crisp were added benefits. We shared a side of their puffed corn casserole, which was sinfully good.
It’s a different vibe from traditional steakhouses but in a positive way. Cozy and comfortable. I also appreciated the staff letting us enjoy our meal and conversation while not returning to the table every 3 minutes like most restaurants nowadays. We will definitely be back.

I’ve been a couple of times. My only gripe is the ribeye only comes with that Cajun seasoning and only in medium. I prefer rare to medium rare. The one they served me was within two weeks of opening, maybe they got the temps right since then. Their bacon app is amazing.

They prefaced that the ribeye would be cooked this way but then asked my preference. I told them Medium Well; they obliged and it came out fantastic. So it would seem they’ve allowed customers to provide their cooking preference on the meat.
