I don't ever recall having boudin without rice, to me I though thats what boudin was, a rice sausage or sorts.
A buddy tole me of a place in thibodeaux that sells boudin without rice. Never seen it, never heard of it..
WHAT SAY YOU?????

Well its certainly not going to be the Boudin blanc that is served in LA but there are a variety of types of boudin some do not contain rice. I wouldnt call that a cajun boudin though.

i had ronnie's for the first time and that stuff is missing some texture big time, its almost like they forgot the rice.

boudin without rice isn't boudin at all.

Maybe if you prefer rice dressing boudin that Jerry Lee's serves. Of which im not a fan. What Ronnies serves is pretty much the exact same boudin you get at places like the Best Stop. Same style found at places like Dons which are considered among the top places in the state.

Bourgeois Meat Market in Thobodaux(Schriever) sells red boudoin (no rice)which is MUCH better tasting than white boudoin (with rice).
