I have the Infuser (version without grinder). No complaints. From reading online prior to buying, I think the consensus was to get the one without the integrated grinder if you have the room, and get a good stand alone grinder. But if space is an issue, the integrated grinder will obviously work fine with this setup.

That machine looks really nice. I have one of the Breville Nespresso machines and it's really nice. I know, I'm lazy but it does the job for what I need.

Thing about espresso machines is you can’t go mid tier, you have to get the expensive ones — and keep it calibrated. Otherwise keeping it clean and all proper is more of a hassle. With nespresso you get a pretty decent espresso with much less hassle. I ended up switching to nespresso (which now serves some very high grade espresso capsules)

I have it and absolutely love it. I landed on that machine after months of research. I have had it for close to 2 years.
Probably about the best you can get in a semi-auto for under $1000.
ETA: I bought this machine to replace a higher-end Nespresso. The taste difference between the espresso from the Barista Express and Nespresso is not even comparable. I do not agree with the previous comment about not being able to get a good machine mid-tier. There may be very few, but this machine is one that makes excellent espresso and is easy to operate and maintain.

What capsules do you prefer? I just got the machine about a month ago and I'm still testing coffees.

I have an earlier generation Breville espresso machine, and it's still going strong. It does require regular de-scaling, though, and the steam wand is a PITA to keep clean.
Best espresso-like bang for your buck: Aeropress, with a metal filter.
I'm stuck on my old school Italian moka pot these days. When I'm lazy/commuting, it's Nespresso. Nespresso in the office, where I have no kitchen & no sink.

Nearly every limited selection is very very good (the Cafe Istanbul and Venezia are fantastic). I really enjoy Appregio (great decaf version too), and the Master Origins are all very good (Ethiopia and Indonesia the best)
And hardly a need to clean, and same quality every time. Just easier especially at the office
Yes, you can make a better espresso with the $1,000 machine, but it has to be in perfect condition and calibration, otherwise it’ll come out pretty bad or weak

My brother has had one for years and it's still going strong. I'm not positive it's the same model but the buttons and layout all look the same. He's probably had it for close to 10 years and his family uses it often. I was looking at getting one and his recommendation to me was to look for an open package one off of Amazon. I never snagged one because I just wouldn't use it enough to justify the cost but, after looking at Amazon, it would've saved me a couple of hundo buying "like new".

I have the 920XL Dual Boiler

I have had one of these Breville machines without the grinder for about 5 or 6 years. Great machine. I have a separate burr grinder. Makes a great espresso.
I bought a cheaper cuisinart model before the Breville which made a terrible espresso and died after a couple of years. The Breville was a great purchase.

Ristretto is my go-to as far as their regular line up, shite is delicious. As far as the limited stuff, the recently added Cafe Istanbul is outstanding. The Cuban one is also great, and has actually been added to the regular line up.

A friend of mine has one and likes it. I don't see the bar pressure in the specs but maybe I missed it. That's important.
I own a Bosch Benevenuto B30 that I puchased in 2004 that I still use everday. Its the best appliance I've ever purchased. It has paid for itself many, many times over so if you and stretch the budget I'd recommend a category or two higher. The ROI will be better, but obviously realized over a longer time horizon.

Sorry to highjack the thread but has anyone used one of these? How does it compare to some of the machines that are being discussed?

It's doesn't compare. It is NOT espresso and it doesn't taste like espresso. It makes strong overextracted coffee.

That’s what I figured. Thanks
