Anyone know anything about this? There are constructing a building right past the railroad tracks on Metairie Road and they have a big Buffalo Trace banner hanging from the fence.
This was all I could find in the internets. It came from a blog

Buffalo Trace is a bustling and sprawling distillery. Its 12 warehouses store some 350,000 barrels of alcohol in various stages of development. The rarest brands rest for more than two decades inside one of the tall brick or metal storehouses, though the average barrel is only in for a dime. Buffalo Trace is one of the oldest, continuously operating distilleries in the US. Its doors remained open during prohibition, producing spirits for “medicinal purposes.” The distillery has changed hands several times since its establishment, and is now owned by the Sazerac Corp. of Metairie, Louisiana. Without doubt, the beauty of Buffalo Trace lies in its commitment to tradition. They continue to bottle their finest brands by hand, in what was the original cook house. Much of their equipment was built in the 1930's, including an ingenious gravitational “lite rail system” for transporting barrels about the grounds.

It's going to be an office building for Goldring, who owns Republic Distributing. I'm assuming the banner is just an ad and I don't think the offices are specifically for Buffalo Trace.

This is what I was told as well. The Goldring's own a portion of Crescent Crown Distributors.

Yeah, I think they have a vodka sign out near the construction area also.
It def. had me confused when I went to Winston's Pub this weekend and saw those signs.
