That and the McDonalds on Perkins at College were, for the longest time, BR’s perfect 1970s fast food time machines.

I'm oddly happy about this news. I've always had an irrational hatred for that damned Burger King

Shoot, I would hit that one for lunch sometimes!

Wow that was our go to lunch spot in 82 to 85 while going to Tara only to sneak back into the parking lot and be caught by Coach Fairchild and Longmire and have to run laps.

It’s been around as long as I remember

That was my BK! I rode my bike all around there and got many a double cheeseburger in the late 80s.

That territory was once patrolled heavily by the Voltron Crew. '93 - '96ish. "The Late Unpleasantness," locals called it.

You are definitely one strange poster. You obviously take some weird delight in seeing businesses that somehow "wronged" you closing.
An "irrational hatred" aimed at various restaurants is just bizarre and disturbing at the same time.
To each their own, I guess.

That burgerking had gotten a refresh, it was prob several years ago, but they def redid it, so i dont know about it being some 1970s time machine.

The BK Lounge!
I used to ride my bike through the drive thru then cross the street to the PackaSac to get candy.
