After a 6 year journey, we are sad to announce that Restaurant Calla will be closing its doors. Our last service was Saturday, August 22. We are extremely grateful to have had the chance to be among the most creative, collaborative, and forward-thinking restaurants in our area. We love what we do, and we always strove to let that show to every guest who walked through our doors, on every plate that left our kitchen, and in every drink poured at our bar. Thank you to ALL the people who made that possible: our staff throughout the years, our vendors & purveyors, our neighborhood at Walnut Grove, and our wonderful community of diners and friends. On behalf of all of us at Restaurant Calla, we offer thoughts, prayers, and hope to the people of Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana.

As General Manager of Restaurant Calla for the past year and a half, I’d like to personally thank all of the people I worked alongside during my time there. I’m lucky and grateful to have had the chance to get to know all of you. I said this to an old co-worker when I was leaving a restaurant years ago - “Think of it this way, now we’re not ‘work’ friends anymore. Now we’re just friends.” Special thanks go out to our current crew for all the dedication and work they put in helping the restaurant navigate the COVID crisis
