The owner of Thai Pepper has reopened under a new name. Jefferson highway next to Jeffs food mart and the patio. Picked up a lunch special for $11 flat and I couldn't come close to finishing all of it. Great pad thai, awesome egg roll and garlic chicken. A big win for the neighborhood.

Any details on hours, menu, etc? Can't find anything online.

Is Thai Pepper closed? Google says they open up tomorrow at 11 and I was just there a week or two ago.

Someone said in a recent thread that they visited Thai Pepper recently and they had a new chef and the food wasn't as good... perhaps they're under new ownership?

Didn't see posted hours, but the phone number is 225 448-3147. Pretty good sized menu.

We go fairly frequently and I have not noticed any different quality lately. I'm pretty sure most of the ladies up front are the same ones that I've seen for years. A few new servers over the past few months. The main lady, who I always assumed was maybe the owner, has been in there recently.

Found the pad thai picture from the Eat BR instagram. It looks different than Thai Pepper's version IMO. (I rarely get the pad thai though)

That picture does not look like legit pad Thai.

That was my thought. Looks like short segments of too-fat noodles in a gloppy sauce. To me, part of the magic of Thai pepper is the noodles are never swimming in sauce.

Reposting the full menu.

Ginger stir fry w/ pork
Drunken noodle w/ pork
Egg rolls
Papaya salad

Everything was delicious except for the papaya salad (tasted like straight fish sauce)

That looks iffy at best. Looks like forgettable Thai.

Vs Thai Pepper
