Since we have a bit of a Chick-fil-A theme going; I highly recommend the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich with a spicy chicken fillet.

I have no idea why this isn’t permanently in their menu.
But if you really want the mind blowing pimento experience, you must get the spicy Cajun pimento chicken biscuit at Bojangles.

Is this actually good? It sounds terrible

Probably because the profit margins get skewed when making pimento part of their rotation. I know everyone gives Cane's shite for not having a diverse menu, but if they did it probably cut into their profits.

What sounds terrible about it? Pimento cheese + fried chicken sandwich is an awesome combo. There is a place here in Bham that does it and it is fantastic.

I heard an interview with Todd Graves once and he said they explored the idea of doing grilled tenders at one time and it was going to blow up their whole model from the kitchen layout, order processing etc.
I lived right by the first Canes when it opened. The menu really isn't much different today other than you got 5 big tenders in a box and it was like $5.

No it's not good. I was excited to try it when it first came out a while back, because I thought it sounded great. I was severely underwhelmed. I actually did not like it. All you could taste was the pimento cheese, and it wasn't even a good one at that.

second.
Too much going on and the chicken was mushy, not crisp

Do the down votes come only because it's fast food? Because I know in our kitchens we've all experimented with combos much like this and all manner of crap, and we had to sit down for a minute it was so good

Nah, it would be because I don't want pimento cheese on a super spicy chicken sandwich, fried or grilled.

Bingo. I tried based upon my neighbor's recommendation. Their Pimento is hydrogenated and very oily/mushy.
I'd suggest using CFA or Cane's tenders yet prefer cajun grilled chicken not fried, placed on brioche or toasted Leidenheimer or Poupart pistolettes, lightly mayo'd/ailoi, some Ms Wickles Bread & Butter slices/Jalapeños, go very lightly on any honey drizzle, and most importantly some Calvin's/Kalyn's Pimento Cheese.

the district in Ponchatoula makes a hot chicken sandwich that is “almost” perfect. The bread, chicken, sauce, etc make it sing…if you added good pimento cheese to it it would be Puccini

Had one a couple days back. Spicy fillet, added tomato. A little pricy, but damn solid.
I'm actually surprised that a burger chain hasn't tried a pimento cheese burger. The Thunder Road Burger at Litton's in Nashville is the best burger I've ever had.

Ever twiddled your fingers in the kitchen and say, wait a tick...
20 minutes later you have a bacon, havarti, pimento cheese smashburger on brioche? I mean, never?

I like High Hats burger mostly because of pimento cheese.
