Pretty good taste overall. HUGE portions.
Coconut shrimp, bourbon chicken and black pepper chicken.
Price seemed reasonable.

Still have to give the nod to Four Seasons (take out) but this was a good alternative.

We’re ready to try and compare to Panda Express opening right down the street. Four Seasons is better than Northshore Empress?

Same. Like Panda, Chopstick portions much bigger for the hungry peeps.

It’s good for what it is, great buffet good for take out. We like it but Empress is better for more sit down menu type.

The ole Steak n Shake location looks like.

How they allowed Steak n Shake to fail is bewildering to me.

This used to be the best buffet in Covington---

Ha that was one of our go-tos for Chinese back then. Way back, South China was also a good one. It was by the YMCA. First place I ever had Chinese.

It seems like Chinese buffets are either good or bad. Rarely great but that’s okay.

Just did some take out from here tonight because of this thread. I might have had food from Empress one other time in the 30+ years I've been on the Northshore. I had to go to pet smart so swung around the corner and picked up the Empress Chicken entree(General Tso) and combination fried rice. Pricey for chinese but was very good $37 -- same meal is about $25 at Green Leaf(now No' La or something). Fried rice is better at Empress.

Four Seasons is our regular go to. Great Staff. Food is pretty good for being buffet. Not over whelmed by large loud crowds.

Liu's Wok is our go to for pick up

We ate there for years without even thinking about getting it to go. Not sure why. But once we tried it the price is good/reasonable. I get a lot but make two meals out of it
And yeah the owners and staff are so nice.

Four Seasons use to be good 10 years ago.
Now they just recycle old food. It was nasty when I went a week ago. I really made the decision to hate myself and forcefeed on it.

I find Panda Buffett in covington, is the best buffett on the Northshore right now. It is what Four Seasons use to be 10 years ago.

Much better. I may stroll to chopstick today.

I didn’t get that at all but I can see how it could be considered kinda bland to some, maybe trying to be healthier or appeal to a wider audience.
