Wow. The new place in the old Maxwell's is great. It is also a great lunch spot as well. The lobster roll is unbelievable. Their wraps are great as well. Then you have all of the meats, liquor, etc to shop for. Highly reccomend

I find most of their products as high as a giraffe's arse. Damn near $19 a dozen for beef hot tamales when tax added in.

Try $30 a lb. for cracklin'.

They have a store in N.O. on Harrison Ave. on the corner of West End Blvd.

Based on the downvotes, I guess I was supposed to say the boudin and crackling sucks.

On Fridays from 11am-2pm.

The boudin is delicious.

The most popular thing at the Cajun specialty store is a lobster roll?

And they only sell it maybe twice a month on Fridays only. Their meat counters and frozen products are very high. It's right by my office, so in a pinch I'll grab a chicken salad sandwich which is good.. There fried fish poboy has a bad taste so won't get that again. I like Tramonte much better for their meats. I had high hopes for this place but their deli counter is not good and the prices they charge is more than I would pay.

I agree it is pricey…. Maxwells was a better store and their deli is delicious…

Chris's has always been for people who never ask what the price is. If you have to ask....

I have always found Tramonte's and Hebert's Specialty Meats in Dutchtown to be better quality and lower priced.

I am just not going to pay $10 for a pork chop, even if I had Elon Musk's credit card.

Yeah, we went when they had their grand opening. The food samples were good, and we bought a stuffed chicken, which I've had from them years ago. The chicken was good, but not anything that I couldn't get from Rouses. While there we looked at their deli menu and counter, nowhere were prices mentioned. Typical red flag for me[.

I'm not saying it's the most popular thing but I can get virtually everything else that I assume they have closer to my house. A quality lobster roll, however, would be a treat for me, thus I would like to go try it. Sorry.
