We will be going soon for the first time. I know my husband has to wear a jacket. How dressed up do I need to be? I don't want to be overdressed or underdressed.
thanks

No takers yet? Oh well........
If your husband is wearing a jacket, you can dress accordingly. No need for a ball gown, unless it's ball time.
A nice dress will do. A nice pant-suit will do (if you are into the professional business woman look). Personally, my wife is very professional and classy, but does not wear pant suits.
In short, look good, not tacky. Have fun!
What's the occasion?

It's our 25th wedding anniversary.
Thanks for the advice...and I don't own any ball gowns.

Congrats! 12 yrs for us.
You don't need any advice from me then. But I would offer (in the spirit of things): dress like it's your first date.
Then, of course, you are required to follow up and tell us how it all went.

tasteful dress you could wear to a wedding, heels, and some classy jewelry.
You will be fine. Ladies are rarely frowned upon, it's the guy that show up in jeans that has a problem.

Slacks and nice blouse or a sundress and heels or something along those lines. You don't have to wear a business suit unless you just want to, and don't wear a cocktail dress. That would be a smidge on the "too fussy" side, imo, unless you were going to a function afterwards that required it. Commander's isn't that stuffy for an upscale restaurant. I've never been to Galatoires which I consider "stuffy" because I think I'm too scared to. I'm afraid I would dress wrong, look at the server wrong, and sip my drink incorrectly.
I just don't get that feeling at Commander's, so whatever you choose as long as it's not shorts or jeans (their big "no no" and they will tell you that when you make reservations) I'm sure will be fine.

Just went a 2 weekends ago they are not even requiring jackets on men right now. Although you should. Guy next to us was wearing a button down short sleeve.. You should be fine just wearing something nice that you would wear to church.
