The Exxon gas station closing has been a nightmare and eyesore for the area. Between that and the smoke shop opening down the road, it's been a real question mark..."what will the future hold for this section of town"?

Will it follow "The Hub" direction or will it follow the "The Rouses" direction with improvement?

I don't know anything about Cava but it sounds better than the possible alternatives.

There is one by me and it seems that people like it. Its almost like a burrito bowl place with Greek ingredients.

Anyone understand the reason that they purchased Zoe’s Kitchen only to close them? Were they trying to run off their competition or did they want their assets for some reason?

So the Cava by me was a Zoe's. My understanding was that it was the same people they are just changing concepts.

Just ate there Sat night. $10.95 for a Greek bowl with chicken. Good flavor and simple menu which is refreshing. The lines can get long because of the Izzo’s style of making the food at the counter. The only downside I noted was no real soft drinks. It’s all flavored water style soft drink that tasted like water with food coloring. For almost $3 for a large drink, just get water. Not sure if the drink machine was broken, but it was bad. It’s a good, healthy alternative that is worth a try.

In this category, Simple Greek near LSU was the bomb. Cava is close, haven't decided yet if it's better.

Welp, it was good while it lasted

Cava (CAVA) plans to sell shares for $17 to $19, which at the high end would value the fast casual eatery at $2.2 billion, according to a WSJ report that cited people familiar with the matter. If the roadshow is successful, CAVA is expected to start trading on the NYSE the following week.

Quality often suffers when restaurants go public. Hyper growth, lower quality ingredients etc

Cava is the Greek Chipotle except better quality. We went last week to the Elmwood location. It was solid for what it is. Way better than Zoe’s.

Cava is awesome. Should do well there.

We made at home last night what we would normally order at Cava and it was pretty damn good.

I was going to stop by Zoe's today in Perkins Rowe only to find it had been replaced by Cava. Man that place was great! I feel like I need to go back and try everything
