First off I know I should order some good sausage from Louisiana for gumbo. I have very limited sausage options here in Georgia. If I don't have any decent sausage in the freezer I use Savoies which I can get here. My wife came home with some Country Pleasin alligator sausage the other day because it caught her eye. She also picked up the regular smoked sausage. I had never seen this brand here but have heard it mentioned in threads about sausage in the past. Thinking about trying it this weekend.

I've never heard of that brand, but before I use sausage in gumbo, I eat it to see if I like the flavor. Grill it or pan saute some. I wouldn't want to make a pot of gumbo and then find that I don't like the sausage.

Their green onion and jalapeno cheddar sausages are pretty good, I've never had their andouille though. I'd try it

Country Pleasing is a decent sausage. Roll with it.
