I never boiled with the crab boil liquid. Does it mostly add spiciness to the water or a lot of saltiness too? Which brand is less saltiness, Zatarain or Louisana? Thanks.

Only spice. Neither contain salt.

Are you saying that steaming blue crabs is better than boiling blue crabs? Why?

Boiled crabs get waterlogged easier.

IMO

Zatarain's is a much better product than Louisiana crab boil.

Why ...... It has more flavor and spice. I used the Louisiana crab boil one time. I ended up putting twice the amount and still did not get the same flavor.

I have also used it as a component in Turkey injections for thanksgiving.

Crab boil liquid
lemon juice concentrate
garlic-flavor hot sauce
butter

makes the best turkeys in a fryer.

I have also had people suggest to boil tortelini in crab boil, but not a success for me.

I agree. It is probably the only zatarans product that I use because it is my preference. I do use other Zatarans things (jambalaya and RB&R base) but only for convenience. I prefer to do Jam and RB&R from scratch.
