Where da crawfish at? They are $3.59lb live where I am. I know you guys can get them cheaper. What do the prices look like after a week of sunshine? Gonna be in the high 60's and low 70's this next week. Is anyone selling them close to $2lb?

If I had to guess, I would think they would go for $2.50/lb live this upcoming weekend. I doubt you will see much more of a significant price drop than that. Just about every establishment in Baton Rouge ran out of live and boiled crawfish this past weekend.

Crawfish this year are the biggest I have ever seen at this time of year. Ones I've seen look like mid May crawfish.

I haven't heard anything that cheap yet. The market definitely is higher than that. Must have been a fisherman or some seafood place dumping because they bought too much.

And they really aren't grading crawfish yet. That's why most will be mixed. No reason for the crawfish guys to grade when you can sell everything you have.

No, they were $2 on morrison blvd - main drag, big add in daily star. $2.60 live at BJ's last weekend.

I messed up on the select price above. I was told $4 but the bill for 15 lbs with tax and french bread came to $55. I think in hind sight the girl screwed up her addition.

The crawfish had good size to them.

Maybe in her mind it was 4x10 and added the other 5 in instead of multiplying that by 4 as well.

This won't help Btrtigerfan but, we got 15 lbs for $60 on Thursday here in Mandeville. I hadn't had them before but they were surprisingly tasty. Really good spice and flavor. They were not consistent size though. Some good size, mostly medium sized and a bunch of the little bastards.

At least I might feel like I got a good value if I pay the higher prices. Thanks to all who responded. $2 in Hammond? Who would have thought they were so cheap over there? Thanks
