CrAzy Hot Pot in Metairie is insane.

Halfway in, I tell my wife and kids “I don’t think I’m ever going to want to eat anywhere else” and added “EVER” which got a laugh from the kids and some others around us. Unhinged, in a good way.
Good God man. Quick rundown because if you haven’t been yet, it’s a process.
It’s basically an all you can eat with the focus being the small pot and burner at each seat where you pick your broth and then get your add ins (flavor and proteins) from buffet style bars. Huge selection. Proteins, multiple forms of beef, seafood, pork, seafood, some rolled meats, seafood and also sauces and add-ins. Even have cracked blue crabs. Many things you’ve probably never heard of before.
You cook things in your broth but can also order from a wide range of appetizers and entrees (included in price, NOT an extra charge) brought out to your table BY A ROBOT (yes a robot) in 2-4 decent sized portions at a time. Very cool. So, these are like a supplement to your broth and fixins.
Your setup is important. The pot gets damn hot once it’s rolling (but can be adjusted), so I had a cool down plate to the right and to the left, an on-deck plate (for stuff to add to the pot) and a discard plate (shells and stuff).
Hope I explained it well enough. I’m assuming other similar hot pot places operate the same way but don’t know, yet.
Bon Appétit!

Hot pots are always good but quit calling it protein. It's meat.

Just curious - say you eat a pot of one type of broth and then you want to try another kind... will they bring more broth, or would you have to pay more?

Welcome to the way Asians have been eating for centuries.
Just picking. A hot pot is a fun event and can actually be found at many Asian restaurants, especially those which are Vietnamese/Thai/Lao driven. They'll bring a portable burner right to your table.

Good question.
It appears that the broth is the limiting factor, meaning you would have to pay for another type. A bit odd, but i suppose there has to be some limitation.

Seemed pretty busy.
The decor and vibe of the place is very endearing and pleasant.
Location is pretty normal and accessible in Metairie.
