Creamed spinach vs Spinach Madeline

For some reason I had never tried creamed spinach until recently and now I'm in love. I was planning on cooking a batch for the first time for Christmas and came across recipes for Spinach Madeline which I had never heard of . For those familiar with both which do you prefer? Also, feel free to post your recipes for both.

I thought the primary difference was spinach madeline has cheese and creamed does not

That's what I thought as well. Spinach Madeline with a thick grilled ribeye and a baked potato.....

From the recipes I've read that seems to be the main difference. I've just never had the Madeline.
