Danny’s was/is a franchise right?
We had one in the 80s in Central. I’ve seen some lately in the panhandle of Florida but not sure it’s the same restaurant. The logo sure in the hell looks the same. I’ve searched and can’t find shite on a headquarters.

I think there are less than 5 locations remaining, but there were more in the 80's/90's. There was one in Ponchatoula if memory serves.

There was one in Plaquemine. Almost next store has a Harold's (?).

There was one in Franklinton. A box appeared at every family reunion and was immediately gone, despite the amazing homemade offerings.

Was there one in Thibodaux? Or Chackbay? I think I remember eating there.

Go to Brooks in Mount Hermon, it’s about as close to Danny’s as you can get around here.

Is this the chain that used to sell corn fritters? I can remember eating them when I was younger, little fried corn meal balls with specks of whole corn in them lightly dusted with sugar I believe.

I do. It was across from the fire station on Sullivan. There was one in Centreville Ms up until a few years ago.

The original location is in Morgan City. If it has a corporate headquarters. I was never aware of it.

I remember the one in Central back in the 80's. Wasn't it off of Hooper and Sullivan? That's been a long time ago.
I remember those onion strings. It was good stuff. I think there was one in Zachary also. My memory is fuzzy.

When I was a kid we knew a farming family down Plank Rd and I think they owned both or at least 1 of the Dannys in Zachary or Central. I think the one in Central probably closed in 1990ish.

Good stuff if you could get the chicken hot and fresh. I loved their white gravy on the mashed potatoes.
