Just passed by there on my way to other businesses in the shopping complex and noticed no cars, no lights on and place looked light a ghost town.

It's no longer listed on their website. Good to know as I eat lunch there a few times per year.

I took my kids there for the first time a few months ago and we were the only ones in there. The burgers were pretty good and my kids have even asked to go back... Oh well.

It reminds me of Red Robin which I have a feeling is about to close here in Lafayette.

I didn't realize there was one here in Baton Rouge. It seems like a few of them have closed over the past few years.

It lasted longer than I thought it would
Problem was no one was going to go out of their way and fight all the traffic in that corridor to eat there.
It's fine if you are in that area for other reasons.

ewll it is in the vicinity of Whataburger (the best fast food burger in BR) and River side (one of the best burgers in BR).

Is Backyard Burger losing favor in general? We had one close in Collierville, TN and it was replaced by Freddie's; I've seen a couple more of them close in Memphis and not be replaced

The first time I went the manager said they broke sales records when it first open. The next January he said was the slowest on record.

I went there a few months ago and they were out of burgers.

Their locations a lot of times aren’t the best and they put no money in to marketing.

Geez, I haven’t seen or thought about this place in years. Are they open in other states?

Looks like it. They had a half decent burger for fast food. I eat fast food maybe once or twice a month but when I do I'm usually craving a greasy burger.

That one was the first one in the Memphis area, if memory serves me correctly. I remember going to it back in the late 80s or early 90s when the only other thing out that way was Taco Bell, unless you went further into Collierville. I think it either wasn't company owned or was it's own little franchise. Had different menu items.
