Anatomically , same muscle group but the rib eye is cut closer to the neck and ny strip closer to the arse

Ribeye for steaks. Also Prime Rib > Beef tenderloin.

Strip is leaner and has a meatier flavor. Ribeye has more fat and is more tender.

Ribeye by far

Then filet

Hell, I prefer a good sirloin over a Strip. I eat a lot of strips, but I've never had an elite one, even at higher end places.

A perfect ribeye always beats a perfect filet, IMO

But I'm probably 60-40 filets to ribeyes at prime steakhouses and we eat more filets at home by a big margin.

Expensive therefore they think it is the best.

Ribeye depending on the spot.

Strip if I don't trust the place.
