Does Tabasco expire?

I’ve got a bottle that has changed color from the classic red to a more grey-ish hue and the date says best by this month. Bought it probably two years ago.
I’ve never had a bottle get near to the exp date, but this one say at work for a while and I don’t eat there much.
Am I good, or looking at a night on the toilette?

It doesnt say WHY it's not prone to spoilage, but my assumption is because it's essentially just vinegar

It won't go bad, but the quality will degrade over time. Pro-tip, keep that shite in the fridge and it will retain it's original quality much longer than in a cabinet. Same with every other condiment.

True except for mayonnaise
I find that keeping opened mayo in the cabinet really helps the flavor mature. The 3rd month is usually the sweet spot.

These terms mean different things. Best By dates are for quality control. Expiration dates are for food safety. Tabasco has a best by date, not an expiration date.
If you want the color to last longer, follow Balls' advice and store it in the refrigerator.

it won't hurt you, but it won't have the same sharp pop it would have "fresher," or as fresh as a product can be when it's fermented for multiple years.

The 40 years I’ve know my MIL she has never refrigerated mayonnaise .’
But a dish with mayonnaise like potato salad or deviled eggs she’ll’ put in the refrigerator as soon as we are finished eating so it doesn’t go bad.
