Drusilla Seafood specials

I saw that they have an oyster special on Mondays
45¢ raw
55¢ fried
85¢ char grilled
With 99¢ draft beers
And a Tuesday special.
12.95
All you can eat boiled shrimp , corn and potatoes
So my questions are
How is the seafood?
If I go just for these specific items it should be decent right?
Do they have a bar to chill at?

Bland. Really a place that lost its cache years ago.

And I don't see how they can frick up the oysters.
Do they have a bar with a couple TVs?

They have a nice "chill" bar. I'd be willing to try the oysters or the shrimp. Most of their dishes are straight up basic Baton Rouge seafood - same menu since the 1980s.

Took my aunt/uncle there 9+ yrs ago (their choice). I had stuffed flounder - very good then, definitely not bland. No idea what's transpired since.

Shoot, we're going to try that oyster special tonight. Of course, we went to Casamento's for lunch Good Friday, so the bar has been set high.

I've never been there but I remember reading something critical on this board.
The menu looks good though.

Just got back. It was pretty good. Nice sized raw oysters, good fried oysters. The chargrilled ones were OK. We didn't sit at the bar, but it looked good. The only issue was the kegs were frozen, so I had to get a bottled beer. You can do a lot worse for a Monday night dinner.

Cool thanks. I'll go next Monday. I guess I'll call ahead to make sure I can get my 99¢ drafts though.

That place sucks arse and the service is just as bad. That's my review.

I go there for lunch about every other month to meet with a specialist. Never had a bad meal but I admit it's a bit dated. I always get the fish Louisiana, gulf fish stuffed with eggplant and shrimp.
I guess dining there is like travelling in a time portal to 1975-1980.

Exxon Chico?
Do the Zito's still own the place? Last time I was there it was for a wedding reception a couple of years ago. I will definitely start hitting up the oyster specials on Mondays.
