Probably by the OP of that thread (or maybe her husband). Story was getting interesting.

I was so sad to see it go that I had to attempt to resurrect it here.

Shame she deleted as it was shaping up to be a classic.

Seeing this bump made go back and try it again today because I was in the area. I haven’t been in about two years.

I got the cheese enchiladas and tamales and for 15 bucks I got 2 cheese enchiladas and three tamales.

Salsa and cheese/bean dip were solid but nothing to write home about. The entree was extremely flavorful.

Most solid Mexican food I’ve had in Baton Rouge in at least five years. Would recommend a rate of 4.5 out of 5.

It's really good food and it really pisses me off that he hasn't at least cleaned up in there. No restaurant should get so comfortable that they leave their place that dirty.

Mi Tierra on Perkins near Siegen https://mitierrala.com/ and Tu Tienda on Siegen https://tutiendalatinataqueriala.com/ (both owned by the same family.

La Mexicana on Siegen (restaurant is in the back of the grocery store) https://www.facebook.com/p/La-Mexicana-100050441028179/

Any of these places. You know it's good when you're one of the few English speakers in the whole place.

Best imo for authentic Mexican is Sahuayo in Gonzales. That place is seriously legit.
