Southwood Kitchen is a little closer to Daphne but it’s one of the best restaurants in the area. Jesse’s in Point Clear as well.

Wash House is a great recommendation. Don’t forget the key lime bread pudding.

Sunset Pointe has a nice view but the food is underwhelming.

Got married in Point Clear and had reception at the Wash House. All of the comments in this thread are spot on!

I have a strange infatuation with Fairhope and I've never even been there. Seems like it would be a great place to spend some extended time.

It really is a unique little town. Everything is walkable or bike ridable and it seems there are so many restaurants you never really have to wait long to be seated (if at all).

Don't know if I would refer to it as "sleepy" but there definitely is a chill vibe to the town.

FIL lives there. Last time I was there my family wanted to go to the bookstore. So, I went to the bar in the back to get a beer. This was around noon. There was a dude sitting at the bat that left his house that morning to go get his wife some beignets. Well, he ended up at the bar and got shitfaced while eating all of the beignets. It was some funny shite. We had a good casual meal at this place where you sat in the courtyard. I can't remember the name.

Ha I love it! It is definitely a place where the time can get away from you...in a nice leisurely manner lol.

Think you may have been at the "French Quarter" which is kind of a big courtyard area featuring Panini Pete's, which, as someone said earlier, is decent and offers the beignets you mentioned. Also, there is a place called Locals that has inside and outside courtyard seating. Wanted to add that to the restaurant discussion as the food is great there and the owners are wonderful people.

Jesse’s is great. It’s in the similar vein as Wash House. I think Jesse’s has the better food, Wash House the better ambiance:.

R Bistro closed. It’s now a seafood restaurant. Pearl. Haven’t been yet. Looks promising.
