Wife and I are thinking of taking a trip there for our 10th anniversary and staying at the Grand Hotel. Looking for good recs for all meals and dessert places as well. TIA

I think you mean wash house. If so cannot recommend it enough. Also sunset grille at the marina is good.

Hope Farm over Wash House is my preference.

Yup, that's the one. It's excellent.

Honestly, the upscale restaurant at the Grand is fantastic as well. Don't leave without trying it out for yourself.

Dragonfly is a cool spot. Ice cream across the street.

Dragonfly relocated. It is no longer in the “downtown” area.

Genes beans is great though.

Jesse’s and Wash House are both great options. In my opinion, the best food in Baldwin County is a few minutes up the road in Daphne at Southwood Kitchen.

We always make it to Genes Beans when we're down there. It has been a while since we've made it down there, last August right before school started back. The restaurants at the Grand are pretty good. We'll usually drive into town one day and grab lunch at Panini Pete's or somewhere else while walking around. Wife and teenage daughter usually want to walk around to the shops, and there's a nice little public park with a playground I'll take the boys to for an hour or so while they do that, then meet back up for lunch.

Yup. I also like hanging out at the bookstore bar while the wife and kids shop.

Some interesting cats in there. I rolled in around lunch one time, and there was a dude at the end of the bar. He went out that morning to get his wife some beignets. He decided to pop into the bar and never left. He ate his wife's beignets while sitting at the bar.

LOL, I've disappeared a few times like that while supposedly picking up things for my wife.

Some good recs already (Jesses and Southwood are top notch). A place that doesn’t get talked about as much, but is fantastic, is Sallie. They’re only open to the public on Thursday nights, but they do an excellent job.

We are heading there today for a long weekend

Eating at Kingfisher tonight for the first time. Also doing hope farm and Jesse’s
Jesse’s is probably my favorite restaurant down there but there are so many good options like others have mentioned.

Some good suggestions already made. Dragonfly, Wash House, etc...

Don't sleep on Southwood Kitchen up in Daphne. Go over to Mobile and have a corned beef at Callaghans Irish Bar. Same owner from Sunset Point also owns The Waterfront about ten minutes north up the bay and its much easier to get into, same $1m view. Gambinos is decent Italian-American comfort food and easy to walk from downtown Fairhope. Manci's bar up in Daphne is great bar food and very low key atmosphere - reminds me of a college dive bar. Dive bar without dive people.

This is a perfect little town, enjoy.
