Saw today in the Sadvocate that Felipe's is opening another location in Old Metry.

IMHO, it's really hard to frick up Tex Mex but they somehow find a way. Everything they have is greasy. Only redeeming menu item is the margarita.

How does a place like that not only have multiple locations, but buy primo real estate on Metairie Road to build a new restaurant from the ground up. It can't be cash flowing.

As far as "burrito joints" it seems better than places like Moes, Izzos, or Chipotle. I don't really think of it as "Tex Mex" per se.

Felipe's is in the same market as Izzo's and Chipotle not your standard TexMex. In my experience, Felipe's is much better than those two.

Nah, Chipotle is two letter grades better. I can't get past the grease stains of Felipes.

That's the menu item most used to rank Mexican restaurants in Baton Rouge.

"Oh girl, let's all meet at Superior. They have the best margs..."

Think about how that grease makes your tits grow each time you have a bite of that trash.

I sometimes grab a chicken tinga quesadilla from the one on S Peters for lunch sometimes. It's not life changing or anything but good enough for a $12 lunch.

Now that is a valid question.
