Thinking of taking friends/family to dinner at the Fiery Crab, but have never been. The menu looks similar to the old Joes Crab Shack... including the seafood boils (which is what we are interested in)
Anyone have any feedback , is this place a go or no go ?

I feel like that place and many others with similar names are popping up all over the south. I think they are for money laundering.

Never been cannot help

I've never been, but would like to hear from folks who have as well. From pictures of the food I've seen from FC and other similar places, it appears they put some sort of dressing all over all the seafood. That hasn't appealed to me.

Have to be for money laundering.

I know of more locations in Louisiana than I've ever seen cars at a single restaurant's parking lot.

The one in Lafayette turned off their reviews after being open about 2 weeks. From what I gather it's pretty bad.

I heard the one in BR sucks!

They're in the process of putting one in Hammond where Captain D's was.

No idea why Capt D's was ever built there. Only lasted a few months.

Hold up, I browse their Facebook pages occasionally because they attract a certain clientele and some of the post are sometimes hilarious.

I'm looking at the Facebook page for their Siegen location and they're definitely buying likes/positive reviews, the profile pics being attractive white women caught my attention.

Just on November 4th there's 20 positive reviews from fake accounts.

Vicky Goodwin- Lives in Fresno, CA, fake account with a few friends, all foreigners.

Ebony Griffin- Lives in OKC, same as above

Elena King- Lives in Kansas City, fake account.

Kelley Becker- Aurora, CO

Etc etc....

So yea, if they're buying fake positive reviews its safe to say you should stay clear.

If you even need to ask this question, there’s nothing this board can teach you.

I want to know if it's better or worse than Juicy Seafood.

In that case, yay. You’ll love it. Take your dinner party and enjoy a fabulous dining and culinary experience. Service and quality will be excellent. Be sure to leave a generous tip.

If you liked Joe's Crabshack you'll like it. The one in LC is terrible. Poor service, dirty, and the crowd there was loud and obnoxious.

One opened it Gonzales and we have been to lunch a few times. We expected it to suck, but honestly have been surprised by the lunches we've had there.

I've always ordered the 1/2 lb shrimp and 1/2 lb green mussels tossed in the fiery sauce. For $20, it makes for a damn good lunch.

All other coworkers have enjoyed the various things they've ordered and the lunch menu items look like a good deal.

Had one open up in Alexandria in the old copelands. I looked at menu and got that Joe’s Crab Shack vibe. I will not be going. Red lobster is a good comparison too.

Every time I pass that place, I'm amazed someone named it that. Granted, I think it is probably immigrant owned and they don't realize how it sounds as a restaurant name.

There's also Krab Queenz around the corner.

Gris Gris - I think it might be some sort of butter sauce they're putting on the seafood. I see it mentioned in the captions sometimes.
