Cooked some filets tonight lightly seasoned with Slap Ya Mama... darn tasty!

Used the recipe below and Omaha Steaks filets:

I am not going to get into it about steak seasoning like some will, but Omaha steaks are not all that great.

Glad you enjoyed it though as that is all that counts.

Must have run out of kosher salt and cracked black pepper and garlic powder, huh? Didn't have time to run to the store? Yeah, I was rushed too today...

I need to be reminded about the slap yo momma seasonings. I know they had some guys at Rouses one weekend passing out free samples of stuff with that stuff on it, but I don't know much about it.

Well, Omaha Steaks are not my favorite either. When I get them as a gift I make the most of them, and they are certainly better than hamburger meat. I guess I was surprised that they came out pretty tasty this time.

I don't have Kosher salt or cracked pepper, but salt and pepper are probably the top ingredients of cajun seasonings anyway, so what the heck? I lightly rubbed them before cooking and they seemed to cooperate with the flavor pretty well.

Edited to Add:
Slap Ya Mama Ingredients: salt, red pepper, black pepper, and garlic. no msg.

I usually just prefer seasoning salt & crack black pepper on my steaks, but there are times when I want some more zip, so I have used & like Slap Ya Mama or Zatarians on steaks.
