Man, I hate that place. It's mainly a chain heaven. That said, Naaman's BBQ is pretty damn excellent. I don't think you can get a beer or drink there though.

That's what I chose off looking online. Is it a dry county?

It used to be dry on the Texas side, but I think I heard they voted to sell alcohol a few years ago. It's been a little while since I've been there. Thank the lawd

You're SOL for good food in Vallient too Best bet is to stay in Idabel/ Broken Bow if you find yourself having to spend the night over there.

Don't know about for dinner. But if you were there for lunch, downtown they have this burger place called TLC that is really good.

Most of the rest of the town is chains. Have a safe trip!

I ate some decent mexican food in Idabel not too long ago. Nothing to write home about though.

Bryce's Cafeteria. Been there forever (I think since the 30s). Get the fried chicken!

There has got to be some sort of hole in the wall gem in any city of that size. Please report back if you find something good.

Will do. I will report even if it's bad so people can avoid it

I have not been yet, but I hear Pecan Point Brewing and Gastro Pub has good food. 213 Main Street

If you are ever there on a Saturday or Sunday, Tacos Mi Pueblo is awesome. It's a hole in the wall only open on weekends. The carnitas sopes are outstanding.

I stay there for work as well and Naamons and TLC are badass for lunch

Usually when I take guys to dinner they want chain shite, but Fat Jacks oyster bar is pretty good.
