What are some good ones? Purchased some bad ones the other day.

I usually buy whatever the store has that are certified from Louisiana. Most recent purchase was Deshotels. They were excellent. Don’t buy Bernard’s. Packaged in Breaux Bridge, but they are from China.

Maybe that was the case. I dont remember the brand but recall seeing the Breaux Bridge on the label. I’ll have to go back to Albertsons, track it down, and see if it was from China. It was rubbery with a bad flavor.

Also another tidbit to look for. Just because the product is in a bag, they are not all 1lb in weight. I found this out with shrimp a few years ago. It’s a sneaky trick to have the customer think they are getting a good deal when they are being shorted 4oz of product.

Chinese crawfish are often priced from $6.99 - $9.99. Louisiana crawfish tails are closer to $14.99 a pound. Look for the Certified Cajun product round label and/or the Louisiana Seafood label
