I have had electric smokers for 20 years. Set it and forget it. easy to be a cook with one of these.

I have electric and wood. The electric is great because you can set it and forget about it and you will always have power for it. With the gas, you have to worry about making sure your tank has enough in it.

In my opinion, you're not going to get a good smoke flavor from either one, but that's just my opinion. I mostly use a wood smoker now and I love it. A lot more work, but I think the flavor is much better

Neither, the Weber 22-1/2" smokey mountain is the best smoker I have ever used.

Go to the virtualbullet.com and see for yourself.

Have you seen or cooked on a pellet grill ?

Wood burning smokers with electronic thermostats and food probe.

Recently purchased one , and love it. Fire it up , put the meat on, and forget about it till done.

If you want a gas one get this
LINK

The wood box is small. I replaced it with a coffee can and put a about 5-6 holes in it. Holds enough wood to smoke for 2.5-3 hours. Great gas smoker for the $$$.
