It’s hard to believe that a smoker can sit on your kitchen counter without setting off a single fire alarm, but GE’s “Active Smoke Filtration” ensures that all the delicious smoke is catalyzed into warm air safely inside the unit. The same wood pellets you would use with a traditional smoker are used, and way fewer of them, too – cost-effective without sacrificing flavor. A convenient pellet capture system extinguishes used pellets and drops them into a water tank for easy and convenient clean-up, which also helps extinguish any fears around safety. Speaking of clean-up, the included racks and drip pan are dishwasher safe.

The GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker is already available for $999 on GE’s website and Amazon.com.
Looks like a cool gadget, but I’ll stick with my Masterbilt on the patio.

Good idea for people without patio access and who like their meat to taste like an ash tray

So, even less smoky than a pellet oven. No thanks.

While it might be good for some people if I am going to pay $1,000 on a gadget I will just spend $500 more on a Thermomix which is something I know I would use and be happy with.

I could see it being a small niche appliance for a small restaurant but 1000 is a lot to pay for something that can only fit half a brisket
I'd rather just get an outdoor electric smoker if I didn't feel like managing the fire

If I am living in NY with a 400SF apartment, this would be very useful.

I would like to see a youtuber do a taste test comparison with one of those verses a traditional electric smoker vs an outdoor smoker all using the same recipe.

I don't think that this is the world's first indoor smoker. My neighbor bought an indoor smoker last year. Her's is round and hardly takes a lot of counter top space. I tried a couple of things she prepared and they all taste like the food I cooked using my big smoker. The brand name of her smoker is Colster. I'm glad that you started this thread because I wanted to read information about her smoker. BTW, her house wasn't smokey when she was smoking a pork roast.

This would come in handy at the Bayou Classic.

This might be a good idea for NOLA hotels to pick up and distribute during the Bayou Classic week.
They're not going to stop people from Q'ing, so might as well make it smoke-free.
$250 rental for 3-days.

I have one
If you want your house to smell like smoked meat FOR DAYS, go ahead and pick this up.

I happen to love the smell of smoked meat but can understand how 99% of the general public wouldn't want that smell in their house for days as Rouge said. Would suck if you took a shirt out of your closet to wear to a function and as soon as you slipped it on, you smell smoked meat...lol.

I like smoking meats outside. That smoke smell lingering in the house would not be ideal at all.

There's a trillion dollar idea in here that would be a whole lot better for the world if it is truly
