Six feet under is a great seafood restaurant/bar that is located near Turner Field. Around the G-Dome there is the CNN center which has a food court. The best restaurant in that area is McCormick and Schmick's which has seafood and steaks. When I went to the Bama vs. Clemson game two years back I got the shrimp ettoufee which was stellar.

There is better seafood places in Atlanta than
quote:

McCormick and Schmick's
. That place is a chain that is many cities. I agree Bones is an awesome steak house that anyone looking for a good meal or steak house should consider.

I ate at Fat Matt's when I was there last month. The ribs were delicious, the slaw was slamming and the beer was quite refreshing. The line was way out the door to place your order. If you go, be sure to put one person in line to order and someone else to scout and claim a table!

I was wondering the same thing. OP is a Bama fan. Think he's trying to pull a fast one? McCormick and Shmick is a chain, and I don't think I'm ordering etouffee in Atlanta.

I've never been to Bones, but my friends and I had a good meal at McKendrick's Steakhouse last time we were there.

Can someone besides the OP recommend a few spots in the Buckhead area? I'm not really looking for a 5-course fine dining meal. Above-par bar food is fine or a very casual place.

This place is awesome. I'd for sure hit it up but it will probably also have a wait. Wait times are displayed outside on some board though so you'll know if its really long when you pull up

Canoe is fantastic as is Bones and Chops in the buckhead area. Buckhead Diner is the shite.. homemade chips with maytag bleu cheese dipping sauce, phenomenal appetizer, the veal meatloaf is also spot on
