Grills: Charcoal vs. Propane

Looking into getting a new grill sometime within the next week or so. Currently have a basic red top charcoal grill that's a few years old. Want to upgrade (Weber most likely) but unsure if I want another charcoal or get a gas/propane grill.
What are some of y'all's experiences with Weber grills and do you own a charcoal or gas?

Get a Big Green Egg or a Weber Genesis

IMO
Propane is quicker.
Charcoal tastes better.
I use Charcoal.

I wish there was a way to combine the two

Big Green Egg
Not an option sadly, way out of my $$$ range.

You'll be happy with the Webber Kettle. Great tool.

I have both. Charcoal for long cooks like chicken, ribs and such. Gas for fast cooks like steak or during the winter when it's cold out

Char-Broil makes some great grills too

That kind of looks like a rig I saw at Sam's. Was combo gas, charcoal, smoker. Wasn't a bad price either 'bout 3 fiidy if I recall correctly. Gonna get one when new deck is built

I never get the flavor I do with charcoal using chips w/ gas. I have also tried cedar plank salmon on gas and its better than no cedar plank but still not as as good as with charcoal.....Hank Hill lies.

Weber Kettle ftw. Cheap works great and isn't to shabby as a smoker.
