Ingredients: Sea salt, garlic, sugar, black pepper, chili powder, onion, activated charcoal.

Anyone used this stuff yet? How do you like it? I just picked some up yesterday. Going to do some steaks tonight and maybe throw something on the smoker with it this weekend. It's pretty interesting (all black color), taste pretty good by itself. Interested in the bark and flavor.

I like the flavor. I can never get it to stick to the steak well during the grilling process. Seems like it falls off more so than other seasonings.

I'm a fan of Red and Camo over Black.

Great marketing. I don’t think the charcoal (black) lends anything to the flavoring. And the red just has paprika and some natural red coloring in it

You can mix up a better spice mix on your own and not spend $13 a bottle imo

What if you put a little olive oil on your steak before seasoning?

I've done that. It just seems like it crumbles off easily instead of getting crusty and sticking.

It does a lot better sticking to Brisket. Probably because it has a lot more time to set.

I'm a fan. It's what I use when I pan fry a small steak on the stove.

I prefer to cook with charcoal not have it seasoned on my food.

A steak cooked at a high temp is going to burn off a seasoning like this

Season it when it comes off if you must use it

I like it and use it for my steaks.

I can get the big bottle at Bucees for like $10 though.

Been using this seasoning for a while now. Its a nice change of pace.

Rub yo meats with some olive oil then season. I do this and I do not have an issue with it falling off.

It’s decent but nothing special IMO. My wife and kids really like it though and it does lend a slight grilled flavor to skillet cooked burgers and oven cooked pork chops.

I did a strip with it last night. It came out fantastic, very happy and even the wife stopped eating hers (no Black seasoning on hers) and ate what I couldn't eat of mine.

Best seasoning for having steaks “look” restaurant seared, as well as tasting charcoaled, is this:
