Heating king crab legs

I’m trying to boil some frozen king crab legs for dinner. Do I need to wait till they thaw out or can I dunk them in the water?

Sous vide with butter and old bays seasoning. They come out incredible.

Steam them frozen.
I recommend using a roasting pan with rack, water in the bottom, cover with aluminum foil. Heat on the stove top.
It works great.
They're already cooked so they just need to be hot.

You'll get best results from thawed instead of frozen. Also, they're 100% cooked already, so be thinking more "reheat" instead of "cook".
You want to gently reheat them to avoid drying them out. You can do this by cutting them up at the joints and lightly warming them up on a lower power setting in the microwave in damp rolled up paper towels. You can even roll up some herbs in with them to flavor them a little.
Boiling them can dissolve some of their crabby goodness into the water and steaming them can be too aggressive and dry them out. If you use either of those two methods, watch them carefully and don't let them go longer than necessary.

Jameis Winston can teach you about hot king crab legs.
Maybe his method is on the internet.

They are also good smoked.

I put them in a pan, cover with foil, and then in the oven at 350 for 25 minutes. They come out perfect every time.

Bumping this, anyone ever did some kind crab clusters in a crawfish boil setup? Does it get too over powering or not soak up any seasoning at all?
